1. Important care tips for new Hepha owners

Keep your bike clean
One of the most important things to keep your bike in good shape for a long time is to keep it clean. If you prevent dirt from settling, the moving parts will run smoothly and quietly for a long time.
Regular maintenance and cleaning does not take much time:
If you ride through dirty ground, you can let your bike dry and then use a large, soft brush to remove the dirt.
Treat your bike to cleaning with soap and water every now and then - the control unit and motor housing are waterproof.
The charging port can be cleaned with a little contact spray and an old toothbrush.
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner as it will also remove the “good” grease from the bike.
Clean your chain before oiling it.

 

2. General maintenance interval

The first important check in a specialist workshop should take place with the initial inspection within the first 500 kilometers driven.
Your Hepha e-bike should then be thoroughly checked in a bicycle workshop every 3,000 kilometers or at least once a year. Any bicycle workshop can carry out such an inspection.

 

3. Should the electrical components or chain be serviced?

The battery, motor and display require no maintenance.
However, it would be best to take care of the chain:
- Check if the chain has been lengthened over time - this can be done with specific tools or at a local bike shop.
- Make sure your chain is always sufficiently oiled. This not only protects the chain from premature wear, but also the entire drive system.
- If the chain feels dry, first clean it with a dry cloth and then oil it with chain oil. To do this, turn the pedals backwards so that the chain oil is evenly distributed.
- The belt drive does not require chain oil, but should be cleaned regularly with an old toothbrush, clean water and soap.
- Avoid contact between lubricant and disc brake, brake pads and rims.

 

4. Working temperature/storage temperature:

- Working temperature: -10℃~50℃
- Storage temperature: -20℃~70°C
When the engine is running, the adjustable temperature is -10℃~50°C
