1. Display General Description
The display - connected to the battery when it's on the bike;
connected to its own power supply when removed.
The display can be charged via USB.
It shows key bike parameters such as time, assistance mode, battery level, speed, pedaling cadence.
When the display is removed, the bike is "turned off" and can only be used as a regular (non-E-Bike) bike,
meaning you cannot use features in the app (like bike location).
The display shows your speed even when it exceeds 25 km/h (up to 99 km/h).
You can adjust the display brightness to 75% or 100%.
2. How much does a second display cost?
The second display (bike computer) costs 150 euros.
3. Display Mounting
The display cannot be mounted sideways. The width of the display is 88 mm. The width of the adapter bracket should be greater than the width of the display.
4. What information is displayed on the HEPHA screen/display?
Our bike's display shows the time, battery, speed, and currently selected mode.
Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to display navigation on the display.
Due to the complexity of this feature, we currently have no plans.
The location permission of the HUAWEI P30 LITE is limited. Currently, the total kilometers are only available through the Hepha app.
The display only shows the mileage of a single trip.
When the display is turned back on, the mileage is recalculated.
After a complete restart of the vehicle, the data is reset to zero.
We are investigating how to add the total kilometer function to the display.
During the ride, you should turn on the Bluetooth of the display and the phone.
After a successful Bluetooth connection, the Hepha app can include the ride data.
You can adjust the display brightness to 75% or 100%.
Currently, there is no way to display the motor torque on the display, only through the Hepha APP.
Unfortunately, this GPS tracker does not work with the E-Bike Trekking 7. At the moment, we have no plans.
5. Removing the Display
When parking the bike, remove the display by pressing on the raised part of the display holder. Detach the display.
Properly place the lower end on the display holder, press the upper part onto the holder until you hear a "click".
6. Can a smartphone be connected via a USB port on the Trekking 7?
Yes, a smartphone can be connected via a USB port on the Trekking 7.
7. Theft protection - additional chain/lock, or do you have a different solution?
Currently, we do not have an additional physical chain/lock, but there are two types of software keys: the bike cannot be used as an E-Bike without the display, so you can simply remove the display (we provide an additional display only upon customer request, which is then reintegrated via the customer's own Hepha account). The second key is via Bluetooth, which is directly connected to your personal phone, so it can only be unlocked with your phone (there is also an additional PIN). If the bike is moved without authorization, unfortunately, there is no notification, no alarm sound, and no location tracking.
