Motor Brands and Performance

1. Can the motor and battery be replaced with equivalent components from other manufacturers, e.g., Bosch (later) (compatibility)?

The battery and motor of the Hepha E-Bike Trekking 7 are our own brand. Therefore, the battery holder and motor holder are not compatible with products from other manufacturers.
The Hepha E-Bike Trekking 7 is equipped with a mid-drive motor and a frame-integrated battery. The latter, with a capacity of 708 Wh, allows for a maximum range of up to 200 kilometers (ECO mode). Charging time: 0-50% in 1.6 hours; 0-80% in 2.6 hours; 0-100% in 4 hours. The motor is offered in three power levels with 80, 90, or 100 Newton-meters of torque.
Hepha products have similar performance to Bosch products but at a lower price.

2. Mid-Drive Motor of Trekking 7

The mid-drive motor of Trekking 7 is our own brand: HEPHA DU-P100. It is offered in three power levels with 80, 90, or 100 Newton-meters of torque.

3. Are the motors OEM products from China?

4. Is the Hepha E-Bike System waterproof?

Yes, the Hepha E-Bike system is waterproof when used under normal riding conditions, including heavy rain. Please do not use a high-pressure washer to clean your bike.

5. Issues with Motor Noise

Our NVH engineer has conducted a frequency analysis of the motor and found no abnormal, background, or damaged noises, other than the normal motor sounds. Do not worry, if there is damage to the motor, we will replace it for you. Our motors undergo strict quality controls, and although noises may vary slightly, they all fall within an acceptable range. Please use it with confidence.

6. How significant is the difference between 80 & 90Nm?

The higher the torque, the greater the motor assistance and the easier the ride (e.g., uphill). Different torque means different motor performance. The greater the torque, the greater the performance. If your road is relatively flat, you can choose 80 Nm. If you often ride uphill, you may want to choose 100 Nm.
On climbs, the E-Bike Long Range 80nm has a greater range than the E-Bike Ultra 100nm, and the E-Bike Ultra 100nm is easier to ride than the E-Bike Long Range 80nm.

7. Could the motor with 80Nm be upgraded to 90 or 100Nm later on?

Unfortunately, upgrades are currently only performed in our factory. We do not yet have the capability to perform a remote upgrade.
